ISFA UNDER-14 REPRESENTATIVE TEAM

SUMMER ACTION FOR ISFA U14

ISFA U14B/C AT HARROW AUGUST 2018

ISFA U14C 0 EAST LONDON SOCCER BASE U15 6

A tough game for the U14C team. This was their first game together and although they played some good football they were beaten by a quicker and more physical side.

ISFA U14B 2 KINETIC 4

ISFA U14B started brightly against a strong, physical Kinetic side. Despite good possession and creating good chances, ISFA failed to break the deadlock in the first 30 mins. It was Kinetic who eventually scored first from a corner. However, ISFA quickly responded with a deflected free kick creeping in the corner. Archie Wells then made it 2-1 after good work from Mitchell Nordwind. Unfortunately, in the final period of the game Kinetic came strong and scored 3 goals. Despite the score line, the ISFA players can be very proud of their first performance together as a squad.

ISFA U14B/C 1 KENT SCHOOL’S U14 4

ISFA B squad played the first half and started slow conceding in the first 2 minutes. The boys then picked it up for the remainder of the second half rest of the half creating a close fixture. In the second half, the ISFA C squad started quickly. However, ISFA soon started to tire and Kent's Schools FA scored some late goals to run out comfortable winners.

ISFA U14 RUNNERS UP AT OAKHAM ACADEMY TOURNAMENT

FINAL
ISFA U14 0 PORT VALE 0
(lost 3-4 on penalties)

A fantastic effort from ISFA saw them finish runners up through the dram of a penalty shootout.  In normal time Ronan Maher (Priory) hit the bar and Ryan Price (Hereford Cathedral) was denied by a wonder save as ISFA were denied by some valiant defending from strong opposition.

Port Vale won the shootout 4-3 but the U14 squad can be proud of their efforts, behaviour and performance levels throughout a cracking a three days of football.

ISFA U14 6 NEW YORK CSL 0

ISFA secured a place in the final against Port Vale after a comprehensive victory against their American opponents rounded off the group stages at Oakham.  Luke Bahia (Repton) took his tally for the week to seven with two more goals whilst there were further notches for Kobe Sinclair (AKS Lytham), George Spencer (Wellington), Joel Burgess (Bolton) and Gabriel Roberts (Claremont Fan Court).

ISFA U14 3 DERBY COUNTY 0

Kobe Sinclair’s (AKS Lytham)  double ensured ISFA beat a strong Derby County side in what was arguably their best performance of the whole tournament.  Joel Burgess (Bolton) was also on target as ISFA moved closer to securing a place in the final.

ISFA U14 4 SHREWSBURY TOWN 0

Luke Bahia (Repton) laid claim to the Golden Boot award after he fired home a hat-trick as ISFA turned on the style against Shrewsbury.  Gabriel Roberts (Claremont Fan Court) snared another as ISFA recorded their second consecutive four goal haul.

ISFA U14 4 BRISTOL CITY 1

It was a Midlands double act as both Ronan Maher (Priory) and Luke Bahia (Repton) opened their accounts for the campaign with a brace apiece as ISFA produced their best performance of the competition thus far.

ISFA U14 2 PETERBOROUGH UNITED 0

Cameron Ellis (Harrow) was on target once again as the boys recorded their first victory against academy opposition.  Joel Burgess (Bolton) also bagged a goal as the ISFA squad began to warm up.

ISFA U14 1 NEW YORK SELECTS 0

ISFA recorded their inaugural win of the tournament as Gabriel Roberts (Claremont Fan Court) bagged a second half goal to see them home against well organised opposition from the USA.

ISFA U14 1 PORT VALE 2

A combative opening encounter saw ISFA fight back from conceding two first half goals and push Port Vale all the way as the U14 boys made their debut for the national ISFA squad.  Cameron Ellis (Harrow) was on target for the squad coached by Ben Adams, Sean Day and Ian Clarkson.
